Priests v. Satan: the abortion industry’s public acts of anti-Catholic hate speech

Fr. John Zuhlsdorf  May 29, 2010 @ 10:44 am

Excuse the profanity in the images included with the following.  It is necessary to know what what drives those behind the culture of death (hint: the Enemy of the soul).

Rockford Abortion Mill Continues Vicious Attacks On Catholic Priests
As number of abortions decline in Rockford, the abortion mill seems to be (rightly) blaming the spiritual power of Priests.

Rockford IL,  May 29, 2010  – In September of 2008 a group of Catholic Priests began praying every week at Rockford’s abortion mill special prayers of the Church that the abortion mill be cleansed from evil.  Immediately, the pro-life women who sidewalk counsel at this abortion facility noticed a dramatic decline in the numbers of mothers coming for abortions and a tangible rise in the numbers of mothers who choose life at the abortion mill driveway.

An unofficial count of mothers entering the mill within a month of these devout Priests praying showed the abortion totals to be cut at least in half. This is also when signs started appearing in the mill windows attacking Catholic Priests. [OORAH!]

On Friday May 29th, the abortion mill sank to a new low even for them.  As a Priest was quietly praying the prayers of the Church accompanied by a seminarian, [And here it comes…] someone inside the building that houses the Northern Illinois Women’s Center put a sign that clearly stated, “F…. Your Perverted Priests.”

Catholic Priests have also had to endure personal insults from the abortion mill landlord and security guard.  The car of one Priest has been egged by an abortion supporter at this mill.  A Priest has also had a hand-written sign taped to his car while he was quietly praying on the sidewalk in front of the mill.  The sign read, “I Rape Children.” [Thanks a lot, you sick and wicked … brothers.  Thanks for this gift that keeps on giving.]

Father Z is correct to publish it for we must know what we are facing. Father is our priest and teacher and we trust his judgment. I opted out in order to defer to his judgment and not to sensationalize a disgusting and accepted behavior against our Faith.  Please go to: Now it’s a Rant…God forgive me… wrote about this very thing today…Ad Iesum per Mariam, Sofia

Eucharistic adoration at the Vatican in reparation for abuse

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican is hosting two hours of eucharistic adoration “in reparation for abuses committed by priests and for the healing of this wound within the church.”

The service in St. Peter’s Basilica this Saturday will feature an hour of silent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, an hour of prayer and meditation, and a solemn blessing at the end.

The unusual initiative was organized by Catholic university students in Rome. Sources said the event was originally planned for the small Church of St. Anne inside Vatican City, but that it was moved to St. Peter’s at the suggestion of Cardinal Angelo Comastri, who is archpriest of the basilica.

So far, however, the Vatican has not publicized the event. Invitations have been forwarded by email and spread by word-of-mouth. More…

Editor’s Note: Please read our post: Public Penance Project below… send link to all Catholics you know to help this cause spread like the one in Rome. God Love you!

PUBLIC PENANCE PROJECT

26 May 2010

IMPORTANT

Our future DEPENDS on it!

Please everyone, talk to all you know, especially your Bishops and priests … a movement is beginning. We need  to beg mercy and call down grace to strengthen and sanctify the clergy and faithful. With all the scandal for so long in the Church along with the progressives and liberals, we need to act quickly and storm heaven to mitigate what will surely befall us shortly from our complacency and arrogance.

Beginning with Bishops to lead by example and backed up by all clergy and faithful; we need to begin a movement of at least a quarter hour a week of PUBLIC PENANCE.
15 minutes of CONTRITE PROSTRATE PRAYER in front of the Blessed Sacrament. If we do not beg mercy and grace for strength, conversions and in reparation …. our future will be our own doing.

Pray for your Bishops, priests and all clergy!
May the Holy Spirit renew the initial objective:
LEAD ALL SOULS TO HEAVEN.

If you have a blog .. PLEASE put this up on it … make flyers, phone calls,
talk to people … let’s get this NATIONWIDE
before the Year for priests ends!!!

Please feel free to contact us for updates and info. God bless!

Back to my Roots

24 May 2010

AlwaysCatholic.com came online March 19, 2010 and we have been blessed with many great followers and smart terrific people giving us a hand and writing for us. For this, I am truly grateful.

I am surrounded by supportive loving people who strive to live God’s Plan.  They look to Divine Providence for the answers and love their country with all their might and are not afraid to stand witness for Truth. In that light, I would like to share a story with you about the change in spelling of my name.

I am named after my great grandmother on my paternal mothers side. Sofia Guerra was known in circles in the old country and here in the USA as a real “scooch”. “Scooch” a term of endearment to Italians and Americans of Italian descent  for someone who’s personality is a little more than outgoing. Needless to say Nonna Sofia kept us on our toes.

When I was born, the hospital unfortunately recorded my name as Sophia instead of Sofia, which is the Italian spelling. My father was quite upset I am told and demanded they change it immediately. We all know that’s not how it works and of course, my Dad would have to go down to the town clerk to fill out papers or something. Well, my father delegated the job to my mother, no fan to great Grandma Nonna Guerra and so she decided, NO! Leave the name. I’m naming her after Sophia Loren. [Mom’s favorite actress]

Well, needless to say, this was a bone of contention in my family for years. Everybody complained how ridiulous the hospital and town clerk were about changing the name, as if the clerk and hospital administration actually gave a crap. So, after years of family complaining, my father wanting to right a wrong against his grandmother, I finally decided to take action.

Having the support of a loved one when making such life decisions makes the decision something of great value. Love, whether for spouse, family member or friend is what Saint Paul talks about in Corinthians when he says that of Faith, Hope and Charity; Charity being the greatest of all three. In the spirit of the one who inspired me to do this for the love of my family, i went and filed the necessary legal papers that Sophia and Sofia are in fact the same person.

Thank you to the special person whose support and love helped me to give back to my Dad the name he gave me so many years ago. I love you, Dad. Your daughter,

Sofia

ACT OF ENTRUSTMENT AND CONSECRATION OF PRIESTS TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

ACT OF ENTRUSTMENT AND CONSECRATION
OF PRIESTS TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

PRAYER OF HIS HOLINESS BENEDICT XVI

Church of the Most Holy Trinity – Fátima
Wednesday, 12 May 2010

Immaculate Mother,
in this place of grace,
called together by the love of your Son Jesus
the Eternal High Priest, we,
sons in the Son and his priests,
consecrate ourselves to your maternal Heart,
in order to carry out faithfully the Father’s Will.

We are mindful that, without Jesus,
we can do nothing good (cf. Jn 15:5)
and that only through him, with him and in him,
will we be instruments of salvation
for the world.

Bride of the Holy Spirit,
obtain for us the inestimable gift
of transformation in Christ.
Through the same power of the Spirit that
overshadowed you,
making you the Mother of the Saviour,
help us to bring Christ your Son
to birth in ourselves too.
May the Church
be thus renewed by priests who are holy,
priests transfigured by the grace of him
who makes all things new.

Mother of Mercy,
it was your Son Jesus who called us
to become like him:
light of the world and salt of the earth
(cf. Mt 5:13-14).

Help us,
through your powerful intercession,
never to fall short of this sublime vocation,
nor to give way to our selfishness,
to the allurements of the world
and to the wiles of the Evil One.

Preserve us with your purity,
guard us with your humility
and enfold us with your maternal love
that is reflected in so many souls
consecrated to you,
who have become for us
true spiritual mothers.

Mother of the Church,
we priests want to be pastors
who do not feed themselves
but rather give themselves to God for their brethren,
finding their happiness in this.
Not only with words, but with our lives,
we want to repeat humbly,
day after day,
Our “here I am”.

Guided by you,
we want to be Apostles
of Divine Mercy,
glad to celebrate every day
the Holy Sacrifice of the Altar
and to offer to those who request it
the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Advocate and Mediatrix of grace,
you who are fully immersed
in the one universal mediation of Christ,
invoke upon us, from God,
a heart completely renewed
that loves God with all its strength
and serves mankind as you did.

Repeat to the Lord
your efficacious word:
“They have no wine” (Jn 2:3),
so that the Father and the Son will send upon us
a new outpouring of
the Holy Spirit.
Full of wonder and gratitude
at your continuing presence in our midst,
in the name of all priests
I too want to cry out:
“Why is this granted me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” (Lk 1:43).

Our Mother for all time,
do not tire of “visiting us”,
consoling us, sustaining us.
Come to our aid
and deliver us from every danger
that threatens us.
With this act of entrustment and consecration,
we wish to welcome you
more deeply, more radically,
for ever and totally
into our human and priestly lives.

Let your presence cause new blooms to burst forth
in the desert of our loneliness,
let it cause the sun to shine on our darkness,
let it restore calm after the tempest,
so that all mankind shall see the salvation
of the Lord,
who has the name and the face of Jesus,
who is reflected in our hearts,
for ever united to yours!

Amen!

Please pray for our Holy Father especially at this crucial time in the Church and the world.
