Our posting here at AC has been a little light lately and here’s the reason…
First, I am feeling so healthy and working behind the scenes on some improvements to AlwaysCatholic. Yes, we have quite a bit of housekeeping on the site. Organizing files, etc. etc. Most importantly setting up a group of volunteers and interns to help run this thing properly.
When I first brought up the idea of this blog to my sister, Mary and to my long-time friend, David both knew I was biting off a big chunk. I wouldn’t have it any other way. The best thing about doing it big to start is that you have alot to work with. It’s like growing your hair out so the stylist has tons of hair to be able to make it workable.
My friend David warned me that I was taking on a large commitment with a site, as opposed to a blog and he was correct. However, I have learned through the help of great mentors, Creative Minority Report, Battle Beads Blog and Man with Black Hat that it can be done well with a little help from my friends.
So, taking advice from some of the best, Always Catholic in the next few months will be getting tuned-up. That will be the start of some exciting which I know all of you will appreciate.
Until then, bear with us as we make our way up the ladder on our “home improvements”. No hints, just visit the site, follow us on Twitter and FB as we work hard to be more enjoyable to read and much more consistent with our output.
Starting this week I am on a working retreat. Prayer, rest and working on Always Catholic. I will be behind the scenes as Jenny, Emma and Sarah get their chance to show me what they can do. I ask you to visit as often as you are able to support the girls as they become “Deputy Editors” for the next 2 weeks.
I will be giving final approval on anything posted and can be reached only by email: AlwaysCatholicBlog@gmail.com. Twitter and FB posting will be done also by the girls as well as some automated posts by Gremln.
I am physically doing well, getting stronger by the day, so I do not want to mess it up this time. I am learning that every great manager needs even greater co-workers and trust me they are!
So, with that said, I ask your prayers for my retreat (both the praying and the working parts) and I welcome any suggestions you might have to help make us better. Please use the above email to send me what you would like to see on ACBlog…It might just happen.
God love you and see you soon!
