Ubicumque et Semper, “Everywhere and Always”, Published for the New Evangelization

Pope Benedict XVI has published the long-awaited apostolic letter Ubicumque et Semper, “Everywhere and Always”, establishing the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelization. It lays the groundwork for the New Evanglization of Western nations, something that is sorely needed in these troubling times. Below is the press release from the Vatican press office with excerpts from Ubicumque et Semper. I’m especially excited about the new catechism and its promotion, the highlighted role of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and the recommendations that will be coming down in regard to the use of new media. (Yay!) Below this release is a video report from Rome Reports.
