Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes,From the hills, from the sky, all is well, Safely rest, God is nigh. Fading light, dims the sight, And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright, From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night. Thanks and praises, for our days, Neath the stars, neath the sky,As we go, this we know, God is neigh.

Thank you to my Dad, who enlisted at 17 with my grandfather’s permission and blessing to join all our other heroes of the GREATEST GENERATION in WWII. Your Faith, service and  values have helped me to understand right from wrong and to always stand up for Truth in these trying times.

God love you Dad,

Our Thanks to the Fallen…

Memorial Day 2015

We pray that this comrade’s heart may not be troubled. His strength is going, and he has suffered a great deal, but he is not afraid. Grant that his sins be forgiven by Thee, and that all trials are past for him.
May he not worry about his family, which he loves dearly. He dies believing in Thee, as he has lived, believing in Thee. May Thy face and the happiness of eternal life shine splendidly before his eyes.

Remember, O Lord, Thy servants, (name them), who have gone before us with the sign of faith and rest in the sleep of peace.

To these, O Lord, and to all who rest in Christ, grant, we pray Thee, a place of refreshment, of light,
and of peace. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

For the Safety of Our Soldiers

Almighty and Eternal God,those who take refuge in You will be glad and forever will shout for joy.
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of Your Love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever praise You for Your loving care.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

For Courage in the Time of Battle

O Prince of Peace, we humbly ask Your protection for all our men and women in military service. Give them unflinching courage to defend with honor, dignity and devotion the rights of all who are imperiled by injustice and evil.
Be their Rock, their Shield, and their Stronghold and let them draw their strength from You.
For You are God forever and ever, Amen.

A very sick Army Captain now at home after care in a California hospital,USC Norris Cancer Hospital, needs some hope, kindness and thanks from all of us!

When Captain Walter Conn served as a missile officer, he also played football and boxed for the Army in Europe.
Captain Conn has always given back to others his entire life, and is a huge opera fan. Now it is our turn to thank him. Our hero is battling bone marrow cancer.

We are asking everyone to find a few minutes to send some cheer, a kind note or card, a heartfelt letter so he knows this country cares. To respect his privacy,we ask that you send your notes of comfort and thanks for his service to us at Homefront Hugs headquarters. We will send everything on to his family in California.
