“Quo Vadis, America?” Our Version of #SB51 “HalfTime” Show

5 February 2017

Always Catholic volunteers are boycotting the Super Bowl for 2 Reasons.
1. “Lady” Gaga has repeatedly offended Our Lord with rants agianst His Church and her involvement in Thelema a satanic cult formed by known occult leader & satanist Aleister Crawley.

2. He support of abortion publicly (she is a baptized Catholic) ,and for using her limited public persona as an “entertainer” to be a bully pulpit for anti_Catholic forces. We reject the notion that entertainers (who by the way are TOTALLY DEPENDENT on the public for their income), to continue to politicize every chance they get. They do have the right to Free Speech but we have the right to REJECT it.

Prayers and Help Needed for Continued Medical Care of Haitian Priest

31 January 2013

Tuesday, January 15, 2013 Anno Domini

by Kevin M. Clarke at his blog,
The Charcoal Fire

This message is from a personal friend of mine from our studies together in graduate school. Fr. Louis Merosne is a wonderful man and is now a priest in Haiti. I asked him if I could share the story of his confrere, 38-year-old Fr. Dumas, who was nearly killed in a car accident last year, to try to help get some added spiritual and financial support for the care of this priest who has been in a coma for months.

Early morning, he was driving from Cayes back to his parish on Saturday, August 25th to celebrate some weddings. He got into a major car accident in Aquin. His nephew who was with him died instantly. The nurse in the back seat broke her leg but survived. Fr. Dumas has been in a coma since the accident. He was rushed to Port-au-Prince where he was kept alive on a ventilator and was given only a 5% chance to live. We were all worried and realized that his best chance at life would be to med evac him to Miami. But that would cost a lot of money, $15,400! We had some friends lend us their credit cards to charge for the air ambulance. Providentially, the Archbishop of Miami covered the deposit for Jackson Memorial Hospital ($50,000) since Fr. Dumas has no insurance. The air ambulance came to get him from Haiti on Monday, August 27th.
He was stabilized at Jackson Memorial, and when he was stabilized was transferred to St. Catherine Rehab that belongs to the Archdiocese of Miami. When he developed a pneumonia he was readmitted at Jackson Memorial where he has been since. He has been ready now to be transferred into another facility that can care for him but unfortunately, the Archdiocese does not have any such facilities. And yet, the hospital is putting pressure to discharge him.
I am told that Fr. Dumas will need an oxygen delivery system capable of administering 30% oxygen continuously through a trach tent, a feeding pump for PEG alimentation and an air mattress to minimize skin breakdown. His tracheostomy needs to be suctioned every 3-4 hours (although lately he is only suctioned about once a day if even that) and he needs actual trach care daily. He will also need total assistance with toileting, bathing and grooming. He will benefit from nursing care for wound care and ostomy care as well.
Fr. Dumas is a 38 year-old priest, recently ordained, in the Diocese of Anse-à-Veau and Miragoâne whose bishop is Bishop Pierre-André Dumas, who delegated me to undertake this process of finding the best solution for Fr. Dumas. The only option of which our own poor diocese is capable is to repatriate him and have him spend his last days near family in Haiti, but we are certain that we do not the means to properly care for him in Haiti. The doctors are not optimistic of a full recovery, but cannot scientifically pronounce how he will turn out in a year for example.
